Past the culinary orgy

Preparing the dessert: chocolate cookies and heavy whipped cream.
Dessert done. There was nothing left.

Christmas is over and with it the culinary orgy. Everybody knows that we eat more than we should at Christmas as people do make sure the food is irresistible, the canapés, entrées,  main course, salads, and the villain desserts. As I am at the age where I gain weight only by looking at the food, I must have put on about 3kg in 3 hours, which will take me fo-re-ver to get rid of.  But I’m not worried.

My conclusions for this year that is ending is that we DO get old and the best thing we get as a present from aging is the ability to erase the bad memories, the faux-pas, the offenses and a bunch of other rubbish. This stays in the trash and I can enjoy a clearer state of mind to keep just the good lessons and the good memories. Great.

I feel wonderful.

I got some nice Xtmas presents. The champion on the deliciousness category is a Milk Frother – Mousseur à lait – parfait . I don’t think I can lend, give or sell this one. It is a keeper and I can’t wait to get home to try my new thing.
I’ve also got a Nook from my dearest husband, but we are in the process of knowing each other and I guess it will take a few dates to get an opinion. So far, I love the feeling of it, but with the family around, I’d rather pay attention to what is happening now. I’ll take a better look at it once I go back home.

To all of you that come by, and my 3 readers I hope you have a great new year.
An bientôt
